How to open CBR files
So you downloaded a bunch of files with a file extension of .cbr from the internet. What to do, what to do. In their current form, they are not much use to you. That's becoz CBR files are compressed files that need to be decompressed first before you can use them. CBR files are just a bunch of picture files (jpg files, for example) that are compressed together in one file.
The .cbr file extension is usually used for ebooks and ecomix files. For example:
The_Dark_Knight_#118_2008.cbr
The above file is the comic book "The Dark Knight" Issue #118, 2008 Edition, I'm guessing. To be able to view the above comic book, first thing you need to do is change the file extension to .rar. Using the above example, make the change as follows:
The_Dark_Knight_#118_2008.rar
Once that's done, you can use any RAR decompressing utility such as WinRAR or 7Zip (freeware).
Uncompress the files on your desktop or any folder that you wish. Usually, CBR files are contained in one folder in which you will find a bunch of picture files. They may not be in order or in the right sequence but they also could be, depending on how the files were compressed.

This freeware will open the files directly without having to unzip/unrar them first. Go here for more info:
