Collection of Android facts.

1. You can take a screenshot of your screen via a USB cable and DDMS (just download the android development kit) , just make sure that you have the USB debugging enabled in your unit.

2. The Epad , which is cheap and common, is based on Wondermedia's WM8650 device.

3. Version 2.3.4 has its USB host enabled.

could you post a step by step procedure on how to take a screen shot for unrooted droids using that debugging thingy? I've heard it's possible.

I don't want to root my droid now, I've fixed the performance issue from my 2.1-2.2 upgrade by doing a clean sweep, SD card format, factory settings. Now my phone's working uber fast

Download the ADK

unzip it

update it (there is an instruction in the android website)

plugin the phone via USB cable.

enable the USB debuggin in the device (this would vary from device to device but for the samsung 5503 /5500 series Settings -> Application Settings -> Development)

run the DDMS found in the folder in the android development kit

me tab dun na nakaturo sa screen..

kc is there word that the galaxy tab 7.0, the first one can run or someone ported honeycomb to it?

not sure about a honeycomb port (3.x is for tablets) but there is an official port that is 2.3.4 (which has the USB host feature also)

the 2.3 was its original os when it was released, if they ported honeycomb to galaxy tab, the 7" screen, that would be sweat since the price is already below 20k

the original release was 2.2.1 , the succeeding release was 2.3 and the upgrade path is 2.3.3 or 2.3.4

the 2.3.4 version has a back ported USB host system from 3.1.x

yeah sorry, 2.2 pala, so it possible to just install honeycomb directly?

that is not an official port..

also it uses heimdall (similar to odin and i have no idea why they use nordic gods names in the uploaders) be careful you might brick your system

thats because samung will not release an offical honeycomb for that tab, i think it should be stable by now since they started with that project if we base it on the link, april

speaking conservatively.. any non official ROM is not a safe ROM..

madaming mods . that can upgrade your system from a certain version to a higher version.. ingat nga lang because some of these people have their own kernel compiled hence baka mamya me unknown payload.

^^whats you best advice on that, just use roms that has reviews, good feedbacks, known dev with good track record and is with the scene for a long time...

if you are not doing anything crucial or secure by all means use the mods.

also treat your security with paranoia. this is not a question of stability but rather of security...
