before buying my latest shoes, sinubukan ko muna ulit yung zigtech for the last time, kahit medyo weird tingnan, kung super comfortable, bakit hindi? pero talagang for show lang yun, masakit ihakbang. tapos sabi lang lagi ng sales person "yan sir, maganda yan, flexible (while bending the shoe in half).
so i ended up with this one, since hindi pa naman ako hard core runner. entry level lang ata to since generic na training shoes lang.

Wow oo super astig nga yan! Infact, I have those pair!!! Yahahahaha. Pero hinde ko ginagamit pangtakbo eh, pangporma lang.
http://forums.mukamo.com/897029-post3111.html
It's last year's model kaya wala na yata'ng mabibilhan nyang specific color combi na yan at chaka updated na rin ang model. They are light and comfy.. and they match my King of G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sa mga ma re-recommend ko'ng shoes for running specifically on pavement are brands of Nike, Saucony and Adidas.
Mahirap mag recommend ng specific model because you really need to study your feet formation, which part hits the pavement first if yung forefoot, ball or the outer/inner side and your weight. They have specific shoe designs for each one. Kung flat-footed ka then you'll need a shoe with more arch support. Alamin mo muna how your feet hit the pavement and study your used shoes kung alin sa swelas ang nagagasta agad that's your clue.
Pronation - Over pronation of the foot and running explained
I hope these help lead you to a more decisive choice.
As for your toes in pain? The culprit is more likely your shoe size. If your toes keep hitting the inside front of the shoe then your shoes are not your size. Masakit nga yan lalo na sa kuko. Ma i-injure ka nga nyan. If your foot size is a 7 for example then you need a shoe sized 8. Safe is to wear one size bigger especially for running then adjust mo nalang sa lacing for a better fit.
Personally I'd stay away from Puma, Fila and Lacoste. These are "fashion shoes" and not performance.

What do you think of Vibram's Five Fingers? I think they're ugly but I talked to a guy who was wearing them if they were comfortable and he said it was. I don't know. I need a lot of cushion for my soles, baka magkabone spur pa ako. Any thoughts on Vibram's Five Fingers or Fila's Skele-Toes?

This is a very controvercial issue in the running world.
Some people swear by the "five fingers" or any of the similar foot wear.
And its hard to argue against them, as some of the best marathon runners...again let me emphasize.. Marathon Runners, are from Africa. And they train running bare foot.
On the other hand, I am with you when it comes to running and cushioning..and its connection to possible injury, or its prevention thereof.
And on that note, based on my experience, the best running shoes by far..bar none is the Asics Gel series:

And there are shoes that you should not run with...
Don't run with rocker bottom shoes... trust me on this one. I use skechers shape ups SRT.. they are good for putting extra stress while you walk, probably strengthens your posterior chain and gives you a heel to toe stride (good and bad) but to run with this puts too much stress on your legs and makes your pronation excessive which some say is not a good idea. use them for walking but not for running.

di lang nakakapatay ng kuko, any fila shoe i wore was a disastrous one. i sprained both of my ankles with the old GH4, then sa running shoe ko naman somehow sumikip yung toe area i got blisters everytime i wear 'em.
NB is a good brand for running shoes today and so is saucony (since high school )

count me in, i just hate Fila.
OT: the shoes that i bought had a small fracture on the side, after just a couple of months. this maybe because i switched my training route from a flat ground (roadside) to a trail-type one (located inside an old military base). but whatever, the shoes are still in good 'running' condition.
OT2: i need your help again guys, i'm planning to join a beach marathon next month. and, i would just like to solicit your advice on what would be the best footware to be used under water. thanks again in advance!
