my take.
free education, there are a lot of smart kids out there even in the slums, so full of hope, unfortunately their optimism is ruined by the inability to have the proper education, having the recognition that they studied, and getting hired. There are a lot of job aspirants who get rejected because of one thing: their educational background, yes I'm sure they can even out do people who studied in the best school money can bring. But they are lazy, they wanna rely on money that has been earned by their parents, or maybe they haven't learned the value of working your ass off and seeing your kid get the proper education he/she deserves. If the government prioritizes education (free, top notch... etc.) We wouldn't need to get odd jobs, and suffering the feeling of getting separated from their family. The jobless rate would be lower in a way.
2. Banning of cigarettes, alcohol... the works...
yes, there are a lot of hard working people cultivating tobacco to manufacture cigarettes, but does it do us good? Nah. it would eventually kill the smoker... if we just grew rice instead, we wouldn't need to import rice from neighboring countries, and they actually learned from us. It may be a small part, but we wouldn't have to spend on importing rice.
Alcohol? yes it has a good side to it. But too much of it would take toll on you.. Health? Social Life? Work?
Imagine a poor family. Dad is a drunkard. They have nothing to eat. And he spends all their money on booze, and his kid's are starving to death? is that just to socialize...? (i happen to know a real story about this thing)
and I can rant all day long...

too much money would cause inflation. just like what the japanese did here back in world war 2.
Aanhin mo naman ang pera kung wala naman itong halaga.
The "Basic Human Rights" say we need to have the right to food, education, and the right to work. Kahirapan doesn't mean we would need to have to be rich to solve this problem, balancing wealth is very hard to do. Imagine everyone in the Philippines are millionaires, do you think that there would be someone who would get their suits dirty just to plant root crops and rice? Let's say everyone in the world are millionaires, who would do the "dirty work"? No one.
If everyone here get's to have their basic rights, that would solve "kahirapan" We tend to keep mum on things we see, simple things like giving gifts to some official just to bend some rules would have repercussions that to some would seem small, but when put together, worsens the situation. Money would be of no use if it wouldn't circulate, no one to do the hard work, people would just sit back and relax? that's impossible.

theres no absolute solution but at least it has lessen the problem, like 1st world countries, they still have problems, but its address immediatly and the solution is really working, compare that to what our govt is doing, malabo ang mga plano sa govt natin

wow 100 Billion? tsk tsk...
as long as we're alive there would be "kahirapan" we may just lessen it, i guess. If we are well educated, we have enough food, and if we can find a job, it should help our living standards...

multi-factor ang source ng kahirapan. education, economy, katamaran, gobyerno, etc. hindi pwedeng iblame solely ang gobyerno o ang employer dahil sa kahirapan. at the end of the day, tao pa rin ang makakapag-decide ng kung papaano siya aangat sa buhay.
