Ban God Bill : Yes or No?
Bishops score ‘ban God bill’ | GMA News Online | The Go-To Site for Filipinos Everywhere
House Bill (HB 6330) or the Religious Freedom in Government Offices Act seeks to ban religious ceremonies in Government Offices.
Do you agree with this bill? Do you agree with this proposed law? yes or no?

I agree..most definitely.
Mainly because Religios Freedom also entails Religious Equality.
So if in a government office the Roman Catholics will be allowed to celebrate Mass. Then by virtue of Religious Equality, the Muslim must also be allowed to pray there. And likewise the Buddhist must be allowed to have a monument to Buddha set up.. and so on.
If there is no equality, then it would be better to even out the field and ban any and all religious ceremonies..for equality sake.

"Ban God Bill" is the most stupid proposed Act ever made!
We should be proud of what religion we are in kasi ang relihiyon ay parte ng pagkatao natin. If you are about to remove anything religious sa mga government agencies/offices/facilities, then might as well destroy the very foundation of the Government which is the Constitution kasi PREAMBLE pa lang naka-indicate na dun ang mga katagang:
"We, the sovereign Filipino people, imploring the aid of Almighty God, in order to build a just and humane society and..."
What a total waste of seat in the congress!!!

I am fuming at this facebook comment .. LOL very i do not see any thing catholic here unless of course they have copyrighted it the word 'GOD"... the person IMO is ill informed with regards to religion

but this should only be limited to govt offices, nothing more, but does this also include govt initiated religious events? like sinulog for example or other similar events? if thats the case wala nang sinulog
but im sure this bill is doom anyway since we are a romatic catholic country and "banning god" strikes a nerve in this country heck we are even ready to donate or pay php60 million or so just for the canonization of pedro calunsod

ban the devil not God bill
understanding truth and justice is one essence of human existence.

Eh ano kung we let the Muslims pray? Or the Buddhist erect their shrine? Maganda na yun at equal...and free ang bawat isa to worship the way they want. I just don't like Christians being persecuted in this way.

Actually the 'Ban God Bill' title was only coined by the journalist who wrote the article in the Philippine Star. It's an underhanded way of displaying the journalist's personal slant against the bill, in an attempt to sway his readers to think likewise.
The actual bill strives to uphold secularism in government offices, i.e. separation of church and state, which is primarily mandated by law. Although we are a largely Catholic country, this bill also seeks to protect the rights of minorities of other religious and non-religious codes. Democracy in practice.
So just because the bill is touted as a 'Ban God bill' doesn't mean it aims to persecute Catholic and Christian believers; rather, it promotes fairness in the State workplace.

Ah, I see po. Salamat sa additional information.
Then I guess it would be fine kung it seeks to protect the rights of the minorities of other religious and non-religious codes.

update on this, the proposal was retracted after some minor scrutiny right? seems like our solon was half hearted when he made the proposal.
one point for the media's subtle influence.
