So I dropped off my Civic sa Casa yesterday morning before work. Wifee drove our back up car (her Tatay's) para makapunta parin kami sa work. It's due for its regular service. I was expecting something like a major service pero oil change lang pala. However, may tulo parin sa ilalim ng engine bay at pinatingin ko yun.

In the past repair, may tulo nakita nanggagaling sa Vtec valve and rear-main-seal. Pina ayos ko na yun pero may tulo parin. So this time kahapon, they traced it to the PCV Housing. Yung O Ring may leak na and the oil pan also, nag le-leak na rin yung gasket. So naka schedule ako this Saturday for a $235.00 repair. (aray ko po!).

We picked up the car after work. Hinde na tinuloy yung oil change dahil kapag pinalitan yung oil pan seal eh aalisin din naman yun oil. Wifee and I took the time to look at some new cars, the Accord and CRV. Type talga ni wifee ang stick shift and it's becoming rare these days. But "Lo and Behold!" in their lot was a 2012 Honda Accord EX Special Edition with the 5-speed stick and standard aluminum wheels. She fell in love and I was convinced na that is the car to have!

MUGEN Aero bumper. Originally for the EK hatch eh swak din ito sa EK96 sedan. I've finally found it! Meron pala nag ffabricate nito sa fairview. nadaanan ko kanina 6.5k kasama na pinta and takes 2 days to make....hahanap pa ako ng ibang may molde ng bumper na ito.

Also kelangan ko mlaman kung makakakuha ako ng fog lights for this bumper. Yun ang main purpose kung bakit ko tatargetin to. bukod sa super unique, eh mtinding visibility ibibigay ng ilaw nito sakaling meron. I also need to confirm kung kelangan ko magpalit ng hood or fenders kung susuksok to. kung oo, I'm aborting this

Almost 104K na yung Chevy Equinox... Oil change and Tune up: Replace spark plugs, wires.

Due the rin sya for transmission fluid change. Mahal sya so postpone ko muna. Honda daw yung transmission fluid. Apparently the engine is Honda, part of the V6 engines bought from Honda by GM years ago. I thought those engines were used by the Saturn Vue SUV only.

I did further research and found that the 2005 Equinox engine is made by a joint venture planf of GM and Suzuki. Apparently the automatic transmission/transaxle system is made in Japan. The tech at the shop said it needed Honda transmission fluid. So only the transmission system is Honda.

1. Alarm - hindi na nag aalarm.
2. Side Mirror - may naputol atang spring sa loob kasi hindi na siya naa adjust.

next gastos, NAG on ang check engine light. sabi nung contact ko sa Casa, possible knock sensor replacement $350.00 parts and under the table labor.

Yung car alarm ko, di na umiilaw.


Update: 10/15
Ahh ok tinulungan ako ng friend ko to unhook the battery cable to reset the computer at nung kinabit, nawala yung Check Engine light. It's been a week na at wala parin so I guess that saved me money.

That just basically resets the on board computer, and it doesn't fix anything. The underlying problem is still there and only will get worse.

Oil change and replace radiator cap. Nag leak yung coolant pero wala naman kami nung friend ko nakita'ng butas sa mga hoses. Pinatingin ko sa dealer coz it might be internal. Yun pala yung radiator cap gastado na rubber seal.
