pacman by knockout. cotto will have a hard time fighting manny because of his speed. this will become his problem. manny is a hard puncher southpaw. everyone knows how difficult to fight a southpaw boxer. another one is the training. it's easy to find a cotto-clone just like they let porter sparred to pacman. now, if cotto will do/did the same, his camp will had/have difficulty finding a pacman-clone who is southpaw, improved strong right hand, mismatched speed and hard puncher.
now, cotto can still win if he could counter punch like marquez did and remain standing and not having knockdown until the end of the round. he might win in the score cards. but i doubt that, but it's just a possibility and that could be small.

roach is now trashtalking and i don't like it and i never expected it. i guess he got provoked by mayweather sr's trash talking & the drug issue and now he talks back. i don't think he can notice it.

^^ let us know why.
i like to make a guess. i think Cotto will get knocked down on 4th round. if he survives it, he'll go down again on 7th or 8th. just a guess

Cotto handled fast opponents in his previous fights not to mention most are southpaws. He has a precise timing and good counter punching (but not good as Marquez's). The only problem I see for Cotto is his stamina. He gets fatigue under pressure. I dont think Pacquiao can pressure Cotto as he is smaller than him.

you dont know cotto... seriously it shows in your post... cotto CAN counterpunch because HE IS A COUNTERPUNCHER who goes to the body WHICH MAKES SPEEDY BOXERS BECOME SLOWER..
pacquiao PUNCHES VERY WIDE AND IS STILL PRONE TO COUNTERS..
cotto only to a boxer and almost lost to a boxer who can pressure him..
margarito succeded in pressuring him.. pacquiao cant do it like margarito did kasi mas maliit sya..
cotto almost lost to joshua clottey (i have him losing) kasi clottey is a good defensive fighter and bigger than cotto..
"boxing fans" always say na pacquiao will be too quick for cotto.. i dont buy it.. watch zab-cotto fight and mosley-cotto fight.. both of those guys are faster than pacquiao pero natalo ni cotto..
still i have pacquiao winning by decision..

@irvin
how do you classify pacman's style? is he an inside fighter? an outside fighter? a brawler? a boxer? i know for a fact that he is not a counter puncher.
also in your opinion was PBF dodging cotto because of cotto's style?

speedy style, unorthodox southpaw... he will come at you and punch you with fast combinations and moving away before you can punch back pero his punches are relatively wide that makes him prone to counters.. look at how effective juan manuel marquez against pacquiao.....
pacquiao is not a counter puncher pero he can counter punch as seen against david diaz pero he cant punch so good while backing away so he is still not a counter puncher..
cotto was avoided by mayweather kasi sabi ni mayweather "cotto wont bring me enough money" ayun..

are you saying the best way to deal with pacman is to counter punch him to the body?

^^ the marquez fight shows it all. he's having a hard time and he almost lose though many believe pacman lost to that fight.

yeah.. cotto should cut the ring, force pacquiao to the ropes kasi mas madaling makasuntok sa body pag nasa ropes ang kalaban and fire away.. if cotto land body punches early, pacquiao will slow down giving away his advantage and breaking him little by little.. roach has told the media that they are weary of pacquiao getting into the ropes so they devised a plan para hindi sya matrap dun.. with pacquiao's footwork and unpredictability, mahirap i-cut ang ring para matrap sya sa ropes but still cotto can do it, how effective he will be remains to be seen..
also it is interesting to note that against ricardo torres and demarcus corley, cotto was wobbled by both men.. while pacquiao may not be as strong as either of them, mas maraming pinapakawalan si pacquiao na suntok than either of them.. against zab judah, paulie malignaggi, demarcus corley and joshua clottey, it seems cotto takes a lot of punch during the early rounds.. kaya may basehan yung sinasabi ni roach na 1st round KO in favor of pacquiao pero dont count on it dahil medyo malabo yun..
cotto has all the tools to defeat pacquiao pero it is very underrated.. i dont know why.. still i think pacquiao will win by decision...
