Where are they now?

The Pinoy actors, actresses and comedians we love, admired, brought their magazine pictures in the bathroom, adored, and dream of...where are they now?

Growing up is very tough but was always fun...watching their movies and adoring these idols and comedians. Influences from your peer groups ("pressure group") definitely have a lot to do with what you have become. Now that you are established...(mentally, I hope; financially, I wish; stable with your job...or still looking for one) you remember too well that somehow - definitely, there are some of our own Pinoy actors, actresses and comedians that influenced our growing-up years and what we are now!

Please help me find out...where are these "idols" we once adored...are now? Please feel free to add to this listing...but please do not divulge any hotel secrets between you and your movie stars or starlets that you once dated. Whatever you are now, please do not sue the following actors and actresses that influenced your life now, good or bad, in prison or not, mentally imbalanced or not! Curious to know where are these "idols" that we once adored and admired on the movie screen or panoramic movie houses. (I remember...Cinerama when it first open! It was like magic!)

Who will forget those dark and cheap movie houses along Avenida where you can watch cheap flicks with aspiring "bomba" starlets (with free snacks from the gay next to your seat, I mean guy, who buys you free pop-corn and soda! Talk about Brokeback Mountain! Forget about the mountain! Broke talaga ang back ko noon!)

First on my list is Joseph Estrada? (I know, I shouldn't ask! Everyone knows where he is vacationing at!) But, give the "macho man" of the cinema - credits and try to remember his good old days as the Best and most beloved Mayor of his town. None has yet surpassed his record on this.

Fernando Poe? (May he rest in peace!) Forget politics, no doubt, he is still a great HERO to me...in every Philippine movies I've seen! He could have been a stiff President just like he was a stiff actor!

Susan Roces and Amalia Fuentes? Gloria Romero and Marlene Dauden?

Dolphy, still the King of Comedy? What is he doing now besides contemplating of being the next probable Philippine President? Chiquito, Babalu, Bentot and Pugo. Some of them are probably dead now...excuse my ignorance or lack of "cheezmiz showbiz!"

Speaking of "cheezmiz showbiz".....whatever happened to the "Queen", I mean, "King of Cheezmiz Showbiz"...Alfie Lorenzo! I bet someone will still argue with me on this!

Who can forget Nora Aunor, the symbol of "probinsiana"...the Philippine icon of "Rags to Riches!" Of course, the Vilmanians...who adored that singing mini-skirted Vilma Santos? Who can resist the beauty of Alma Moreno but did not have acting prowness of brown-skinned Nora! That lovable and huggable Sharon Cuneta?

If I missed any of your favorites, perdona me...please feel free to update us of your idols who are now in their 60, 70's or 80's but still are sexy and are still sex symbols in your dreams!

Whatever happened to Christopher De Leon (can't forget his outstanding performance in "Tinimbang ka Ngunit Kulang!") and Tirso Cruz III? I still love the macho-looking Max Alvarado and his much-hated roles! Eddie Garcia was another one. He was always the villain..."contra-bida!"

Who can say that people who watched and have seen the sexy "bombastic" movies of Stella Suarez, Elizabeth Oropesa and Divina Valencia did not have wet dreams the next morning!

I still can fantasize vividly in black and white the first "bomba" movie flick when I was 16! Boy, who needs sex education with those "bomba" films during the pre-Martial Law days! They were the most gratifying, satisfying and interesting sex education during my younger days. Why did I have to grow old!

Nice topic? Where are they? We know what happened to FPJ, oh? I dearly miss him.
Dolphy is still around and his old movies are great and his original jokes especially his role as bading is just fantastic.. right ??? Tito, Vic and Joey?s first recordings are full of laughters. Until now, I still listen to them especially with my long driving. Hope someone can post some of the mentioned celebrities?s pix here. I watch a lot of my 1980?s drama, comedy and action movie collection. Vic Silayan is one of my favorites, although I only have few of his movies in the 80?s. Teka? I am not that old , but sentimentally speaking I look back where I came from?

Man.. you must be really old knowing all those peeps. Well, they might have gone "up" there while others are continuously struggling for survival.

Take Palito, for instance. I once met him at the LRT and, damn.. what happened to all the money he earned from showbiz? Didn't he foresee that this might happen in the future or is he just too "overwhelmed" of his fame and fortune. Hope they start seeing the "real" picture coz showbiz will never be forever.

Those that we hear often from the "Superstars" of yesteryears are often in public office...former ex-President - Joseph Estrada and politicians that are either Senators, Governors, and City Mayors.

A lot of them have migrated to foreign countries and living simple lives as "ordinary" citizens of where they are. Some are still performing every now and then...but often, living simple lives.

Some of them will be eternal idols of many Filipinos, old and young.
