M.A.S.K., the cartoon, was brought to us by the people at DIC Enterprises, Inc. It aired between 1985 and 1988. A total of 75 episodes were broadcast. It featured a special task force, led by Matt Trakker, with transforming vehicles engaged in an ongoing battle against the criminal organization V.E.N.O.M. (an acronym for the Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem), with an emphasis on super-powered helmets called masks worn by the characters on the show. |
1. The Deathstone

Location: Unknown A radioactive meteor crashes on Earth and VENOM steals it by disguising Switchblade as a U.F.O. VENOM splits the meteor into 3 fragments and sells them as powerful weapons. Scott and T-Bob stow away in the back of Firecracker and Hondo gets hurt trying to protect them during a battle with VENOM. The MASK team must recover the meteor and use its healing powers to save him.
2. The Star Chariot

Location: Unknown Venom are on the hunt to find the missing part of the Emerald Arrowhead, which when joined with the rest of the emerald, will lead to an alien spacecraft, the Star Chariot, that was buried in the desert 1000 years ago.
3. The Book of Power

Location: Nevada? VENOM steals the Book of Power, which is the key to the Lost City of Mong Paco and its giant jewel-covered idol. The book is recovered by Dusty, but VENOM has planted a tracking device in it, and they are able to mount an attack on Boulder Hill! Scott is hypnotized by the book and he leads everyone to the lost city, where T-Bob stumbles across the giant idol.
4. Highway to Terror

Location: Central City M.A.S.K are on a mission to recover hugely radioactive plutonium that Venom have stolen from an army vehicle. The plutonium will be used with a computer box to create earthquakes, but M.A.S.K already have the box. They must now try to steal back the plutonium aswell, before Venom cause destruction all over the world.
5. Video VENOM
First aired: 10/4/1985 Production Code: 105
Location: Town of Cliffwood, Colorado Venom learn to hypnotise people through their televisions in order to make them help in their plans to incinerate the oil base in Texas. With Venom expecting to be paid billions by the Texan government, M.A.S.K. need to stop this!
6. Dinosaur Boy
First aired: 10/7/1985 Production Code: 106
Location: Some Jungle VENOM kidnaps a young lizard creature. They intend to sell the creature's anti-bodies because it is believed that they will give longer life.
7. The Ultimate Weapon
First aired: 10/8/1985 Production Code: 107
Location: Unknown V.E.N.O.M. has a device that jams the M.A.S.K. vehicle controls, causing Condor to crash into Shark.
8. The Roteks

Location: Unknown V.E.N.O.M. has stolen a breed of metal-eating bugs developed for warfare. This episode has a spectacular crash of Thunderhawk in it.
9. The Oz Effect

Location: Australia? Sly Rax disguises himself an aboriginal priest. V.E.N.O.M. has a machine that causes a giant vortex which they use to "kidnap" the village people. V.E.N.O.M. forces them to do slave labour in some sort of crystal mine. M.A.S.K. used their transport plane for the first time.

10. Death from the Sky

Location: Norway V.E.N.O.M. has a tractor ray that they use to kidnap the president of the PNA. Then V.E.N.O.M. threatens to use the ray to break off a piece of a comet to destroy a city. Firecracker is damaged in this episode.

Location: Japan V.E.N.O.M. has a drilling vehicle called The Magma Mole that they are using to burrow beneath Tokyo to create devastating floods. Their next target is Mount Fuji.

Location: Greece V.E.N.O.M. has built an amusement park to hide a giant heat ray weapon.
13. The Creeping Terror

Location: Some Jungle VENOM has genetically altered caterpillar eggs to create giant caterpillars. They are using the giant caterpillars to clear away the vegetation in the jungle to reveal a map carved on the jungle floor. The map leads to the Hidden Valley, the location of an ancient source of great power -- a Myan crystal.
14. Assault on Liberty

V.E.N.O.M plans to blow up the Statue of Liberty.
15. The Sceptre of Rajim
First aired: 10/18/1985 Production Code: 115
Location: India V.E.N.O.M. steals a sceptre from the underground city of Rajim. They want the sceptre because of its ability to neutralize radiation. Matt and the team pursue them into the city, only to become prisoners of the city's inhabitants, Matt convinces the leader of the rajim community to let him go after Mayhem and attempt to retrieve the sceptre, he agrees, but Matt must leave his teamates behind, if he does not return, then the remainder of the team will perish! Matt, in thunder hawk, engages in aerial battle with mayhem and succeeds in retrieving the sceptre, he returns it to rajim, and his friends are released. The M.A.S.K. agents vow to keep rajim's existence a secret.
