Depende yon kung saan ka sa Manila. There are places kasi sa Roxas Blvd na pwede ka mag-abang ng bus to Tagaytay. I'm not sure but I think Mall of Asia Terminal meron Tagaytay na van. If MRT Edsa-Taft kayo baba, i think may mga bus don papunta ng Nasugbu, Batangas/Tagaytay - yon pwede niyo sakyan.
If day trip lang kayo don then dapat may Itinerary kayo sa mga places na gusto niyo puntahan. Most tourist spots in tagaytay hindi dikit-dikit. You can try yung walang kamatayan na Palace in the Sky (people's park), picnic grove katabi lang niya ang Tagaytay Zipline na nakakatakot sakyan, you can also visit Taal Vista pero now kasi bawal na ata pumunta basta-basta. But if you don't like yung crowded masyado, try visiting Sonya's Garden or Bag of Beans pwede na kayo don maglunch. Meron din nag-offer na pwede kayo bumaba papunta ng Taal Lake and ikutin yung lake mismo. You can even try Caleruega. Marami mag-offer sa inyo niyan even in Picnic. The problem lang is yung transpo niyo back and forth kasi di nga magkakadikit yon. You can ride a jeepney or a tricycle and tell them saan niyo gusto pumunta. But mataas sumingil ang tricycle.
If you plan for an overnight stay and walang problem sa money - you can try Nurture Spa, One Tagaytay, 8 Suites, Hotel Kimberly, The Boutique, Opium Bed at Buon Giorno, Bag of Beans (for the world's most expensive coffee lol), even Sonya's Garden, Tagaytay Highlands and so much more. Pero kung gusto niyo tama lang sa budget for an overnight, pwede niyo try yung Keni Po's Rooms.

Kung sa MRT Taft kayo - sa mismong main road may mga Nasugbu or Tagaytay bus na don, yon ang pagkakaalam ko before. Meron pa nga terminal bound to Tagaytay dati beside Mcdonalds sa MRT Taft station.
And yes, malayo ang People's Park or Palace in the Sky sa bababaan niyo - if you plan sa sa Rotonda or most locals tawag don Rotunda bababa. Last time 15 or 30 pesos ang entrance. Wala naman kayo masyado makikita don except yung pinakataas ng tagaytay and of course, Tagaytay Highlands.

hmm...yung Rotonda kasi kung saan kayo bababa yon yung gitna ng Tagaytay. So sa left side niyo facing the Taal Volcano, don ang Palace in the sky (People's Park) - pinakadulo yon along with Tagaytay Highlands pero mas malapit don Picnic Grove and yung Zipline nila.
Sa right side naman - andon yung Taal Vista Lodge (I'm just not sure kung pwede pa puntahan ng tourists yon), andon yung mga restaurants like dencio's, leslies's starbucks, mushroom burger, mall, casino, mushroom farm etc. and andon yung Sonya's Garden, Buon Giorno, Nurture Spa, Bag of Beans, Cliffhouse Tagaytay, diretso na yon papuntang Caleruega.
Talagang sasakay from rotonda to the place na gusto niyo puntahan. My advice is plan niyo yung itinerary niyo pati mga places na gusto niyo puntahan para kung sa left side muna kayo then don muna unahin niyo before kayo magright side naman ng rotonda.

justAname, two years ago mo pa pinost ito. I'm just curious kung natuloy kayo and did you enjoy your tour of Tagaytay? The problem with going to tourist spots in Tagaytay using public conveyances is it eats up a lot of time going from place to place. You are better off renting a van and hiring a knowledgeable driver. If you're going to go there using a private vehicle the best exit on SLEX is the Eton City Greenfield exit. There is less traffic on that road compared to the Santa Rosa exit. You will probably save about 15 minutes of road time if you take Eton. If you take the Eton exit you should end up at the Paseo de Sta. Rosa, a huge strip mall (it is an OUTLET mall really). Drive to the very end of that road. You have nowhere to go but to turn right which will lead you to the front of the mall. There you will see a major road. There should be a light at that intersection. At that intersection you will see a nice bulalo restaurant in front of you (on the other side of the street). We have eaten there, by the way. Not too shabby. Turn left on that major road and you should find your way to Tagaytay. Just follow the signs. If you get lost just ask people on the street.

You betcha. Which means TIME is your enemy. It might take a while to get a ride going to places where you want to go. Kung minsan pupunuin pa yung jeepney bago lumarga. You have to plan where you're going if you are going to go there by public transportation.

Ang taas talaga nito. It might be the highest peak in Tagaytay. Nakakalula talaga. The Palace in the Sky used to be one of the vacation homes that Marcos built for his family and his guests. Today, however, it is all just ruins. But you will still appreciate the view and the height of this place. Worth several shots for your Facebook page

Well I'm not sure if that is really true. You can go to Taal Vista, why not. They allow private vehicles inside. If you don't have a car, you can get a cab. That is if there are cabs in Tagaytay. I'm sure there are. However, if you do not eat there and have your restaurant receipt validated the parking fee really cost a mint. I think over P100. I could be wrong but I heard it is that much. Well, we haven't paid for parking yet because everytime we go there we eat at their restaurant. We have spent anywhere between P1,800 to over P4000 on food and drinks there. Don't get the buffet (way too overpriced!). You could easily go overboard ordering drinks there . We usually order tequila shots (1800) so our bill would go up to P4000 and beyond sometimes. Don't do that if you are on budget. Taal Vista is but a shadow of what it used to be. I remember going there when we were tiny tots. Gone are the old structures. It is now a very luxurious hotel, cafe, restaurant and conference venue. It is a very nice place. They still have an excellent view of the volcano and the lake. Their restrooms are excellent. 5 stars, if you "axed" me

Rizza, what's in Caleruega? Some people told us Antonio's as a good restaurant to eat at. Anyone been there? I will post some pictures some other time on restaurants we ate at or places we visited in Tagaytay. Thanks for the travel tips, Rizza! By the way, the ROTUNDA is the center of Tagaytay. If you turn to your right, that road will lead you to Taal Vista Hotel and further down is Splendido Taal Golf and Country Club. I heard it is owned by Enrile. The clubhouse/restaurant of Splendido is way inside the compound. Ask the guard for directions to go there. I don't remember what day the restaurant closes for events (I think it's either Monday or Wednesday...you can call ahead if you plan to eat there). They do allow non-member golfers to play there. I'm sure they rent equipments for a fee. When we went there to eat they were closed because there is a scheduled wedding reception there. If you turn left from rotunda, that road will lead you to the Palace in the Sky.
