When I was about to have a vacation in SG I tried Couch Surfing unfortunately no one was available.

I was going to do this on a trip back home because, strangely enough, I'm convinced that couchsurfing would be more comfortable than staying with relatives. I quashed the idea because I found that couchsurfing is a nightmare to organise if you're coming home for the holidays and all your friends in the metro are going back to visit families in the provinces.

I heard about this from a radio talk show. Hit na hit ito sa US and European travelers and it's a good extra income for the couch owner. There are websites for members only that also works as forum like couchsurfingdotcom where hosts and guests both compliment, share experiences and warnings, tips and advise.

While this maybe cheap it might be dangerous if you happen to pick a host like Jeffrey Dahmer or someone with serial killer tendencies...Or maybe I watch too many horror movies.
